Both you and your environment are connected and affect each other. If balance is restored to the environment and you do not have your own personal energy fields cleared and balanced, over time the environment will be returned back to the state it was in before it was cleared and balanced. It works the other way around too. If you are cleared and balanced, but your environment is not, then then environment can pull you back into old habits and patterns. This is another way of saying that your consciousness is represented in your environment, or “like attracts like.” That's why it is so important to work with and balance the energy in your environment and your personal energy, because they directly affect each other. Combined, they affect every aspect of your life, the condition of your health, what type of relationships, finances, and career opportunities that you will attract. 

This is why you must make sure that your environment reflects what you want to attract. If you don't like what you have or see, then change it.  But change it with clear, conscious intention. No change in the energy of the environment is sustainable without corresponding inner change.
